Privacy Policy
Effective date: To be set when this policy is published.
Crux of Tech is operated by Pablo Vargas. This policy explains how information is handled through this website, its contact form, newsletter signup, and embedded services. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
Information You Provide
When you subscribe to updates, I collect your email address and any optional first or last name you provide, along with signup and consent records.
When you use the contact form, I collect your email address, your message, and any optional name you provide. If you email me directly, I receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. Please avoid including passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in a message.
Contact records may include source labels, such as a homepage newsletter signup or contact-page inquiry, to help me understand why you contacted Crux of Tech. Records may also include details carried over from an earlier Crux of Tech signup.
How I Use Information
I use information to respond to questions and collaboration inquiries, manage subscriptions and consent, send updates you requested, maintain contact records, protect forms against spam, and operate the website.
Sending a contact message does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Newsletter signup is a separate choice. I do not provide my subscriber or contact lists to product manufacturers or sponsors for their own marketing.
Website, Form, and Email Providers
The website and forms use HighLevel, also known as GoHighLevel or GHL, provided through FlyingBHQ. Submissions and contact records are stored and processed through these services. Internal notifications and direct correspondence may be handled through Google email services.
Information is made available to service providers as needed to host and support the website, deliver messages, store contact records, provide security, and perform the functions described here. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or the security of the website.
Technical Information, Cookies, and Embedded Services
When your browser connects to this website or an embedded service, the relevant provider may receive technical information such as an IP address, browser/device details, page address, and information about interactions. Cookies or similar storage may support site functionality, security, service usage measurement, and embedded content.
YouTube videos and the Elfsight YouTube gallery are third-party services. Loading the gallery or interacting with a video can involve those providers receiving information and applying their own technologies and privacy practices. Embedded videos may display advertising controlled by YouTube. A video does not need to open a separate YouTube page for information to reach Google.
See Google's Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and Elfsight's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use Crux of Tech, such as which pages they visit, how they move through the site, and which content attracts interest. This helps me improve the website and decide what to create next.
Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies and process information about your browser/device, referring website, page views, interactions, and approximate location. Google processes this information to provide Analytics reports, subject to the settings and controls used for this website and Google's applicable terms and policies.
I do not send the names, email addresses, or message contents submitted through Crux of Tech's forms to Google Analytics.
See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also learn about the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. It applies to Analytics and does not disable other website services or all forms of data collection.
Bot Protection
The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Cloudflare processes technical signals, including network and browser-related information, to provide and improve this protection. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Affiliate Links and External Websites
Some product links are affiliate links. If you follow a link to a retailer or another website, that provider may receive referral information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Purchasing through an affiliate link may earn Crux of Tech a commission at no additional cost to you.
An external website's collection and use of information is governed by its own policies. Review those policies before providing information or making a purchase.
Your Choices and Requests
You can request to stop receiving newsletter updates through the unsubscribe option in a newsletter or by contacting [email protected]. Essential correspondence about a message you sent may be handled separately from marketing subscriptions.
You can also contact me to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held in Crux of Tech's contact records. I may need enough information to verify the request. Applicable law may provide additional rights, and some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or suppression of unwanted email.
Your browser provides controls for cookies and stored website data. Restricting them can affect forms or embedded features. Those controls do not necessarily prevent all data exchanges with third-party services.
Retention, Security, and Processing Locations
I retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including responding to inquiries, managing requested subscriptions, recording consent or opt-outs, and meeting legal obligations. Different records may be retained for different periods. Unsubscribing stops marketing messages but does not necessarily erase every related record immediately.
I use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the website and the services involved. No online system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Crux of Tech is operated in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, subject to applicable requirements.
Children
This is a general-audience technology website and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through this website, contact me so I can review and address it.
Changes and Contact
I may update this policy as the website or its services change. The revised policy will show an updated effective date, with additional notice when required.
